Education
BS degree in electrical, mechanical or aeronautical engineering or other technical discipline or equivalent. Must possess a Commercial Pilot certificate with a Helicopter and Instrument rating, 4000 hours flight time; 3000 which are in helicopters and 2 years flight test. Must be a graduate of an accredited Test Pilot School with a preference given to graduates of the one year course at the Naval Test Pilot School or equivalent.
Experience
Requires seven to ten years experience in engineering or flight operations. Requires broad knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, aerodynamic and flight characteristics of aircraft, FAA regulations, and other fields relating to conduct of flight programs.
Requires the ability to speak and hear clearly during telephone conversations with internal and external customers. Able to compose written documentation and to read and interpret various types of technical drawings, data and specifications. Able to use computer. Able to move about freely in the area of moving aircraft. Able to successfully operate company aircraft; and to maintain required license requirements. Able to travel away from the facility to accomplish assigned tasks. NOTE: AEC reserves the right to revise or change job duties and responsibilities as the need arises.
