SUMMARY: Directs the program management of assigned programs. Actively participates in the development and continuous improvement of assigned programs to fulfill the mission of the division. The position reports directly to the Program Director for the business line in which their program resides.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties include the following items: • Execute contracts for assigned programs, including payment terms, workscope and schedule and contract assumption list. • Work with planning and operations to ensure understanding of marketing agreement. • Project manage all assigned complex aircraft utilizing the following tools and other techniques as may be identified: Establish and control aircraft work scope, contract, cost and schedule revisions. Coordinate activities of assigned program (e.g. labor, engineering, support, etc.) Coordinate customer representative communication. Monitor conformance to contract assumption list. Organize and run daily or recurrent project status meetings. Monitor man-hour and part expenditures. Evaluate crew completion dates and hours estimates for inclusion in daily labor tracking reports. • Assign project management responsibility for less complex programs to staff and monitor all activities. Train and assist staff. • Develop, monitor and report required business metrics for all assigned programs. • Regular and prompt attendance. • Effective and appropriate conduct with co-workers.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Perform other duties as assigned. • Some travel may be required.
AUTHORITY: Oversee the administration of aircraft and component contracts. Approve invoices.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, interviewing and training; development of technical and leadership skills; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
SAFETY RESPONSIBILITY: Carry out primary responsibility in educating, preventing and managing safety in the workplace. Duties shall include observing all company, health, safety and environmental rules, ensuring that employees are provided with full information on area specific safety orientation, identify all unique hazards, and provide employees with the proper equipment to carry out their jobs in a safe manner. Also, the entire work area must be routinely inspected so as to maintain a high standard of housekeeping and low incidence of physical hazards and all accidents must be promptly reported. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: • Strong project management skills. • Excellent oral and written communication skills, negotiation skills and leadership skills. • Ability to calculate moderate to complex mathematical functions. • Strong understanding of FAA regulatory requirements to include FAR Part 121 and 91 carriers. • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks from multiple projects at one time. • Proven ability to execute written contractual documents. • Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet computer programs. • General knowledge of and the ability to utilize Oracle, AutoTime and Welcomm Home Programs. • Ability to understand complex operations from a broad perspective.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: • Minimum of three+ years of commercial aircraft maintenance or repair experience. • Airframe and/or powerplant certificated preferred. • BA/BS preferred. • Minimum of two years supervisory experience. • A demonstrated commitment to sound business ethics, professionalism, and equal opportunity.
