| Job Desc: |
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support activities for new or existing product repairs and implement repairs into production while ensuring that milestones, budgets and technical customer‘s expectations are met.
- Project manage repair efforts to plan, develop, document and implement component repairs, including repair processes, procedures, specifications, requirements, written work instructions and routers that clearly define overhaul and repair processes.
- Ensure that all manufacturing special process (welding, heat treat, plasma, brazing, metal forming, etc.) and tooling conform to customer, organizational, and governmental standards.
- Direct the development of new manufacturing processes (e.g. automated welding) and the revision of existing processes to facilitate the improved manufacturing of parts.
- Analyze non-conforming hardware and develop new repairs to extend life of components.
- Troubleshoot technical issues affecting flow of product through production line and optimize lean manufacturing concepts/tools.
- Provide the necessary technical support to sales, manufacturing, and quality activities.
- Provide technical support to customers on engineering issues as required.
- Ensure that personnel maintain required training and certification levels.
- Coordinate the development of tooling to support the processing of parts.
- Continuously work on process optimization and removing non-value added work.

| Requirements: |
Requirements:
- Five to 10 years of aerospace industry engineering experience preferred with process engineering experience in basic manufacturing operations including machining, welding, brazing, heat treat, NDI, etc.
- Proficient at use and understanding of aerospace OEM manuals (overhaul & repair, CMM, service bulletin, etc.) and prints.
- Manage repair projects ensuring completion within schedule and have the ability to work with all levels of personnel including maintenance, engineering/quality, OEM‘s, customers, management, etc.
- Must be driven to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Understanding of FAA repair station requirements.
- Understanding of ISO 9001:2000, AS9100 requirements.
- Understanding of financial modeling (revenue stream vs. product costs vs. capital costs)
- Model, foster, and drive the company values including performance, integrity, safety, responsibility, people and service.
- Proved track record of being results and performance driven.
- History of good analysis, judgment, decision making and planning skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Shown creativity in solving past problems that have been encountered and new ways of doing things.
- Have a passion for manufacturing along with demonstrated instances of both resourcefulness and adaptability.
- Be a team player to others inside and outside the organization.
- Proficiency with computer systems and basic software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Education Requirements:
- BS Degree in Engineering
- Training in Lean manufacturing preferred (Six Sigma, ACE, etc.)
