Conducts and manages the processes of negotiating and securing, with best-in-class Quality/ Cost/ Delivery conditions, goods and services for the Company, in the field of the assigned product-related commodities and assigned prospective (customer estimates) or legacy programs.
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor‘s Degree in Business, Engineering, Purchasing or related field and 5-8 years of experience with the Purchasing/Material function, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledgeable of lean manufacturing, productivity workshops, process audits, and Lean/Six Sigma concepts.
Requires strong financial/ analytical acumen.
Ability to work in a cross-functional / international business team environment.
Proficiency in using multiple large Excel/ Access databases with extensive data mining.
Ability to manage assigned negotiation perimeter within a demanding lean manufacturing environment.
Subcontract management experience. (Must be able to “read” the contract).
Technical sheet metal and aerospace product experience strongly preferred.
Able to reside/relocate to the Dallas/Ft Worth area.
